AI playing a larger role as it continues to grow and get better.
AI isn't going anywhere. Like all cutting edge advancements, how can we think creatively and use it to do something bigger, better, or new?
A focus on honesty and authenticity. Increase in results from hyper-targeted ads. Increase in quantities and effectiveness of bad actor campaigns and online scams. Further increase in effectiveness of original content.
Consumers are less interested in super long form media and marketing. "Less is more"
I foresee short form content to continue to be popular with apps like TikTok, Instagram reels, and Instagram threads to be very affective marketing strategies.
Creativity is necessary -- even in the most ordinary of projects. Collaboration on a project not only gets the job done, but is a key component in executing quality work.
Content will be king - Hello AI innovations! With AI visuals on the rise, brand boundaries will work more outside of the box when it comes to marketing their products and overall online presence. Influencers will continue to be a key resource for brand awareness.
People want the real and raw. There is a time and place for perfectly posed & beautifully curated photos, but this year saw a conscious shift in how people consume marketing content as a whole.
More real-life lifestyle and less curated social media content; TikTok will continue to explode next year; Pinterest will see huge growth and be used more and more as a search engine and less as simply a visual tool.
The noise got louder in 2023: AI, Short Form Video, X, Threads, Nano Influencers, Paid Content. To cut through it, brands pivoted towards authentic messaging that appeals to their customers' values and lifestyle.
In 2024, algorithms will prioritize human-generated content. Successful brands will develop robust, omnichannel marketing campaigns that touch customers on numerous platforms, numerous times.
