HIGH POINT — Representatives from full-line high-end source Marge Carson welcomed retailers and designers to the first Marge Carson School of Fashion & Design last month. Held in the High Point showroom, the Oct. 28-30 program included an in-depth introduction to the Marge Carson line and an emphasis on the benefit of quality craftsmanship.
“We took a different approach to retailer training, one that emphasized our design process and the extraordinary customization available with our 75-plus finishes, trims and more than 700 fabrics,” said Will Sharp, president.
“We acknowledge that today’s high-end consumer expects something very special from home furnishings, and we want to be sure that designer sales associates are equipped with the confidence and understanding to demonstrate the value, uniqueness, quality and fashion of the Marge Carson product line.”
Retailer and designer attendees included Louis Shanks of Texas, Toms-Price of Chicago, Howard Lorton Interiors of Denver, Birmingham Wholesale, Sheffield Interiors of Maryland and Kathy Adams Interiors of Dallas. Sharp said the inaugural event was a “tremendous success.”
Plans are underway for another School of Fashion and Design in 2015.
