MORGANTON, NC (May 22, 2019) – Morganton resident and University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill student Braeden Personius has joined VanNoppen Marketing as a summer intern to expand marketing skills and learn what the classroom can’t teach - real world experiences.
A 2017 graduate of Freedom High School, Personius is a rising junior at UNC- Chapel Hill as an Advertising and Public Relations major at the university’s acclaimed School of Media and Journalism.
“Braeden started contributing on Day One,” said Nancy VanNoppen, Creative Director of VanNoppen Marketing. “She will assist us and our clients in a broad range of marketing assignments, all under our management and guidance. We have no doubt that the experiences and body of work created here will serve her well as she advances in her career.”
While at UNC, Personius has worked hands-on with several organizations including marketing projects for nonprofits and promotional work for a student-led magazine. She recently completed a semester-long public relations communication strategies project with Special Olympics North Carolina.
Personius is a member of UNC’s student-led fashion and lifestyle magazine Coulture, where she focuses on acquiring publicity through public relations and fundraising through advertisements. She serves on the UNC-CH Women’s Soccer Trustees of Marketing Team and as the assistant to the Vice President of Communications of Pi Beta Phi.
“Braeden’s experience with team-building skills, strong leadership, proactive approach and innovative thinking practices make her an ideal fit for our agency,” VanNoppen said. “The internship is a Win-Win for her, our clients and our team as we gain insight to new perspectives and she develops hands-on experience.”
