Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center, located in Morganton NC and privately owned since its inception in the 1940s, approached VanNoppen Marketing about a renovation of its entire marketing inventory.
On a business level, the funeral industry is intensely competitive. From a personal perspective, however, few industries touch the heart at a more delicate time and require a unique balance of timing, communication, organization, sensitivity and personal relationships than the funeral industry.
Sossoman management tasked VanNoppen Marketing with developing a set of marketing and communication tools that reflected Sossoman’s heritage, personal ties to the communities it serves, sensitivity of its products and that spoke to people across a broad demographic spectrum.
Using VanNoppen Marketing’s powerful Upstairs℠ Website development protocol and a fresh inventory of graphics, we created a new compelling Website for Sossoman that provided excellent user experience and thorough content management by Sossoman staff. The new site provided optimal viewing – easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning and scrolling across a wide range of devices, from mobile phones to desktop computers.
The VNM creative team carried the new graphic standards established by the new Website into an array of other marketing elements – newspaper ads, direct mail, internet banners, trade publication needs and internal uses.
