Bookstore & Coffee Shop Branding

Thornwell Books Stationery
Client Since

2020

VanNoppen was honored to partner with our neighbor, Thornwell Books, a bookstore and coffee shop in downtown Morganton, on their branding package and merch designs.

VanNoppen Marketing's power-house design team tackled everything from clothing to signage for Thornwell Books. A clean black and white palette accented with vertical type placement and strong lines were the hallmarks of the brand. Brand collateral adopted black on white designs, while purchasable merch and swag items took on a white on black theme.

Custom Stationery Design

VanNoppen Marketing designed a set of custom stationery for Thornwell Books, including envelopes, letterhead and business cards.

Loyalty Cards

Designed by VanNoppen Marketing and printed by Table Rock Printers.

Custom Shopping Bags

We designed a set of shopping bags with black twill ribbon handles and a unique look in multiple sizes.

To Go Cups

We designed a printed custom to go coffee cups with Thornwell Books logo in a variety of sizes.

Face Masks

Since COVID was going to be a factor when Thornwell Books opened, VanNoppen made custom masks with the icon logo.

Custom Sweatshirts

For the staff and for merch sales, VanNoppen designed super soft crew sweatshirts with the Thornwell Books logo down the sleeve. (I'm wearing one now.)

Tote Bags

We designed an oversized Thornwell Books tote bag for merch sales.

Building Sign

A massive building sign with LED lighting brought attention to Thornwell Books location in their historic downtown building.

Custom Website

A custom website with book reviews, wish lists, events and more launched in conjunction with the grand opening.

Grand Opening Posters

With the brand package complete, VanNoppen designed a series of posters for the grand opening!
